About Malayan Orchid Bendigo

Our unique cuisine consists of our very own recipes made from only the best fresh ingredients, with seasonal produce locally sourced, from alpacas, emu, kangaroo, crocodile to King Island beef and La-Ionica Chemical free chicken. The menu also extends from mild nyonya dishes to very spicy Thai coconut curries and Malay Sambals. To compliment these wonderful dishes, we offer you well over 150 wines on our wine list with a special highlight of our local Bendigo and Heathcote Shiraz.

For over twenty-five years Bob and Pamela Yam have tirelessly worked to create what is known today as the Malayan Orchid Restaurant in Bendigo. Announced as a national finalist in the 2016 Savour Australia Restaurant and Catering Awards for best Asian restaurant, this family-run business is a testament that hard work and dedication is rewarded. The menu is inspired by Australian , European and Asian flavours, with dishes such as kangaroo spicy plum jus and red cooked camel.
